Why 90% of AI trainings end up changing nothing

What typical AI training looks like

A trainer shows up. Slides. Demo. ChatGPT, maybe Copilot. Two hours later it’s over. Attendees leave with two or three “huh, interesting” moments in their head.

Then reality hits. They open their editor, want to try what they saw. How did you install that? What was that command? The AI output doesn’t make sense for their project. After twenty minutes of frustration, they close it.

The training is over.


Why this is a structural problem

It’s not about bad trainers. The problem is the format itself.

Training teaches the tool in a vacuum. But people work on specific projects, with specific code. Between “I know how” and “I’m doing it” there’s a chasm that no lecture can bridge.
